Born in the United Kingdom and educated in England, France, and Italy, Alexander currently lives in New York City. Prior to launching Alexander Doherty Design in 2007, he was national sales manager for a leading American fabric company and was responsible for expanding their business throughout the US and Europe. In addition to his design work, Alexander travels extensively in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
